England complete 3-0 Test series clean sweep with 8-wicket win over Pakistan

By Army jaat

🏏 *Historic Day at Edgbaston!* 🏏 England have whitewashed Pakistan 3-0 in a home Test series for the very first time—what a grand finale to the tour! Chasing just 130, England got an early scare when Mohammad Abbas struck with the first ball, removing both Duckett and Gay for ducks in the opening over—2 for 2! But the real magic came from two steady hands. Joe Root and Jordan Cox stood like statues under pressure. Root, the seasoned pro, nibbled at things, rotated the strike, and eventually brought up his fifty to guide the chase home. Cox mirrored him with his own half-century as the partnership crossed 100 before easing England home with 8 wickets in hand. 🙌 Root actually had a couple of scares—chopping one onto the stumps and an outside edge flying through slips—but Pakistan simply couldn't take their chances. Classic "make them pay" moment. This caps off a dominant series: an innings-and-103 thrashing at Headingley, a 194-run win at Lord's, and now this stylish Edgbaston finish. Pakistan had no answer at all. A truly memorable clean sweep! 💙 #EngPk #TestCricket Source: Times of India
