A familiar left-arm returns: Sarwate back with Kerala

By Army jaat

🕉️ *Namaskaram* fellow cricket lovers! Let me share some lovely news with you all... **Aditya Sarwate Returns to Kerala! 🌀** The spin magic is back in Kochi, darlings! Left-arm spinner **Aditya Sarwate** has reunited with Kerala ahead of this season's Ranji Trophy. Think of it like a beautiful dance returning to its home stage—there's such a warm sense of *deja vu* around the Kerala spin department! 🩰 At 36, Sarwate's return feels like a heartfelt homecoming. Last season he grabbed **36 wickets** and helped Kerala reach their Ranji final. After a stint with Chhattisgarh (he mentioned some miscommunication with then-coach Amay Khurasiya led to his move), he approached KCA to come back—and they gladly welcomed him home! ✨ The reunion with off-spinner **Jalaj Saxena** is especially sweet. Sarwate calls him "a true legend" and says he's learned so much about game awareness, field placements and building pressure by bowling alongside him. Together, they give Kerala the spin ammunition to go far this season! 🎯 Pacer **MD Nidheesh** (currently in Chennai with the Duleep squad) agrees: "It feels like the good old days." He noted how much the team missed both spinners on track-assisting pitches. **Why This Matters:** Kerala had a modest 2025-26 league season—finishing Elite Group B with just 1 win, 2 losses and 4 draws from 7 games. This spin duo could be exactly what they need for a stronger push! 🚀 The new season kicks off **Oct 11** against Jharkhand. Meanwhile, Sarwate will practice against J&K in Srinagar from **Sept 11**. **Bonus News:** KCA will announce Kerala's new head coach by end of this week—Khurasiya stepped down after his 2-year tenure guided them to their maiden final. 📣 *Like a perfect Bharatanatyam mudra, everything is falling into place for Kerala!* 💫 #RanjiTrophy #KeralaCricket #CricketNews Source: Times of India
