Hey cricket family! 🏏 Today I'm celebrating my favourite batter's day—**Shubman Gill turns 27!** Let's take a moment to appreciate how this boy has gone from prodigy to record-breaking India captain. As someone who loves watching artistry in motion, his cover drive alone is worth the ticket price! 💃 Here are 10 records that tell his story: **1. Fastest Indian to 1k, 2k & 3k ODI runs** — 1,000 in just 19 innings, 2,000 in 38, and 3,000 in 62. That 38-innings mark for 2,000 is the fastest by ANY batter in ODI history! **2. Youngest ODI double-century scorer** — Unbeaten 208 off 149 vs NZ in Jan 2023, at just 23 years old. A true magic spell. ✨ **3. Highest IPL playoff score ever** — A blistering 129 off 60 balls for GT vs MI in Qualifier 2, 2023. Pure fire! **4. Youngest to 4,000 IPL runs** — Achieved in the 2026 season at 26 years, 216 days. **5. Most runs by an Indian in a single Test** — 269 & 161 at Edgbaston, a combined 430! Second-highest Test aggregate ever, only behind Graham Gooch's 456. **6. Biggest away Test win by an Indian captain** — That same Edgbaston match, won by 336 runs after posting 608. His FIRST Test win as captain! **7. Fourth Indian with ODI + Test double centuries** — Joining the elite club of Sehwag, Tendulkar, and Rohit Sharma. **8. First to score 4 centuries in a debut Test series as captain** — A dream start to his England tour. **9. Most runs by an Indian in a 3-match ODI series** — 360 runs vs NZ in 2023, averaging a staggering 180! **10. Five Test centuries in his first calendar year as captain** — Dominant 2025 as leader. 🇮🇳 From the dance floor, I can say this: Gill plays cricket like a Bharatanatyam performance—precision, grace, and power in every move. Happy birthday, Captain! May many more milestones come your way! 🎂🎉 #ShubmanGill #IndiaCricket #Records Source: Times of India
