**Fatima Sana Fined for Code of Conduct Breach vs India** Pakistan captain Fatima Sana has been fined 10% of her match fee and handed a demerit point for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during the Women's Asia Cup Group A clash against India, which Pakistan lost by seven wickets at the Dubai International Stadium on Sat. Per the ICC, Fatima was found guilty under Article 2.5 — relating to using language, actions, or gestures that disparage or could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon dismissal. The incident occurred on the last ball of India's 2nd over during their chase of 56, when Fatima gestured towards the pavilion after dismissing opener Shafali Verma via a caught-and-bowled dismissal. This is Fatima's second offence within a 24-month window, bringing her total demerit points to two. Her previous one came during the opening T20I against Ireland in Dublin on Aug 6, 2025. She admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Supriya Rani Das, so no formal hearing was needed. Despite the offfield sanction, Fatima remains available to lead Pakistan in their clash against Hong Kong China on Tue. A win would send them into the semifinals, with seven-time winners India and defending champions Sri Lanka already sealing their spots. *Source: IANS* Source: Cricketnmore
