'Love The Person You Have Become': Yuvraj's Wishes For 'Sir Abhishek' On His Birthday

By Pramit Meher

**Yuvi Wishes "Sir Abhishek" a Happy 26th Birthday 🎂** Happy birthday to the left-handed firecracker Abhishek Sharma! Former India star Yuvraj Singh took to Instagram today to send some heartfelt (and slightly cheeky) wishes to his mentee on his 26th cakeday. **A Mentor's Praise** Yuvi has been instrumental in Abhishek's rise—helping him climb to No.1 in the T20I rankings and reinvent the batting template for India. His message was warm: *"Love the person you have become—sharing and caring, a leader, always learning from failures and putting in more hard work. Wishing you a year of runs and tons!"* **The Funny Bit** The accompanying video is pure gold. Yuvraj, ever the coach, tells the youngster not to play rash opening shots—*"Mai pehli ball te lappa nahi maanga"*—and makes him do sit-ups for his errors. Abhishek's reply? *"Mai pehli ball te lift nahi maanga."* Pure banter. The clip also shows the trio (Yuvi, Abhishek & Sanju Samson) enjoying Wimbledon at SW19, with Abhishek asking for Yuvi's *"aashirwaad"*—to which he simply replies *"Always."* **The Numbers Speak** - 2 T20I tons, 11 fifts in 55 Inn - Holds the **2nd-fastest Indian T20I ton** (37 balls vs England last yr) — only behind Rohit Sharma's 35-ball blitz (2017) **Worth Watching** The Southpaw's form has dipped slightly lately—just one fifty in his last 10 Inn, with four single-digit dismissals. But given his pedigree, this is just a blip. Here's to another big year ahead for Sir Abhishek! 🏏 #T20WorldCup #AbhishekSharma #YuvrajSingh Source: Cricketnmore
